Sofía Méndez Subieta is an interdisciplinary artist from Cochabamba, Bolivia. She is a MFA graduate from the photography area at the University of New Mexico. Mendez’ work has been published by Engaging Collections & The Grinnell Review as well as exhibited both nationally and internationally. She was an artist- in-residence at the Wormfarm Institute in 2020, 2022, and 2023 and a SITE Scholar in 2022. Méndez is part of the Yelling Pillow collaborative project.
