Sofía Lenteja is an interdisciplinary artist from Cochabamba, Bolivia. She holds a Master of Fine Arts in Photography from the University of New Mexico. Méndez’s work has been published in Engaging Collections and FLAT Files,, and has been exhibited both nationally and internationally.
She was an artist-in-residence at the Wormfarm Institute in 2020, 2022, and 2023, and a SITE Scholar in 2022. Méndez is also part of the collaborative project Yelling Pillow, which offers creative entry points for befriending our individual and collective anger.
